Travel clinic
Planning a trip? Book a pre-travel consultation with a pharmacist before you go. Our pharmacists include holders of the Certificate in Travel Health™ (CTH).
What happens at your appointment
- We go over where you’re going, when, for how long and what you’ll be doing.
- We review your health history, medications and vaccination record.
- We recommend vaccines and medications for your trip and explain how to stay healthy while you’re away.
- Where we can, we give your vaccines at the same visit.
When to book
Book as early as you can, ideally at least six weeks before you leave, because some vaccines need more than one dose. Leaving sooner? Call us anyway; it’s still worth being seen.
What to bring
- Your travel itinerary
- Your vaccination records, if you have them
- A list of your medications
- Your BC Services Card
Costs
Most travel vaccines and travel consultations are not covered by MSP. Some extended health plans reimburse part of the cost. Ask us about costs when you book.
* Free prescription delivery within Surrey, Delta, Langley and White Rock. Prescription medications only; excludes Schedule IA (Controlled Prescription Program) drugs, other controlled substances and narcotics, and non-prescription products. Outside these areas? Please call us.
Our pharmacists include Certified Diabetes Educators (CDE) and holders of the Certificate in Travel Health™ (CTH). Please call ahead to book with the right pharmacist.
